  • As the first USAR veteran to receive VALOR assistance, thank you. The necessities I received via my Veteran Employment Readiness Representative, Elisabeth @ Goodwill, was appreciated. Sometimes you use up your dish soap just bathing! So I was happy to have body wash & such. I have access to LOTS transportation in the Sauk Valley area. VALOR gave me transportation to do my own errands. I'm on the right path with the VA program with Sinnissippi and hopeful again. A special thank you to SGT Dunn, a fellow reservist on the Board of VALOR, who is advocating for Reservists as well as Active Duty. Thank you all for your service, and reach out to VALOR.

  • As a US Army Veteran, I was facing severe financial hardship and was on the break of eviction. Elizabeth from the Goodwill Veterans program referred me to the Valor Support Project and I couldn't be more grateful. Thanks to Valor, I received essential items to cover my basic needs, along with laundry and rent assistance that kept me in my home. The support I received was unbelievable and I encourage any Veteran in need to reach out to Valor for financial assistance. With their help I'm now able to continue my employment search through the Goodwil Veterans program, and I'm incredibly thankful for both programs support, P.S.   • The Valor support project was a huge relief for my family and I. When my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, I was referred to them by a friend. After talking with Floyd, they were able to cover the gas for our trips to and from Madison WI. They also covered a month of our mortgage. This alone, took a big weight off of our shoulders. When our lives were being turned upside down, they were there. They contacted me a few different times to check on and update us on the process. the application process was easy. We are forever grateful to this organization. They are a great resource for veterans and first responders in a time of need.
